We offer opportunities for children and youth to develop a personal, permanent, intimate relationship with the Lord! How do we do it? We provide ministry experiences that promote participation in the life of the church through worship, small groups, fun events, travel, fellowship, training, leadership and mission.
At John Wesley children and youth are challenged to reach beyond their known potential into roles that help develop them in public speaking, dramatic arts, music, writing and communications. They share their gifts through ministry with the sick and shut-in, senior saints, and others who may be in need.
Safe Sanctuary Guidelines have been implemented to protect them during church related events.

Youth Choir
Our Youth Choir is thriving under the direction of Director, Daniel M. Hayes, Jr. Youth ages six to 17 combine their voices through contemporary and traditional gospel music. Participants experience warm-up techniques, voice and diction excercises, and learn note value, timing and musical expression. The Youth Choir is accompanied by Bro. Leon Williams, and assisted by Sis. Nia Johnson.
Acolyte Ministry
The acolyte ministry is comprised of children and youth members who serve on the weekly worship leadership team. Through regular training, they help set the tone for worship, by bringing in the altar lights and worship elements in the service. They also assist with special services like lighting the Advent wreath and the All Saints Day memorial candles.
Junior Usher Ministry
Junior ushers have an important role in the worship service. They participate each Sunday and as requested for special worship services. As part of their training, they shadow a senior usher for a closer look at the responsibilities during worship. They are in their respective positions on the main sanctuary and overflow areas. Junior Ushers participate in the Annual Usher /Greeter Day celebration. They serve in other ministries of the church and are active in Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.
