There will be a “Church-Wide Clean-Up” this coming Saturday, October 4th beginning at 9:00 a.m. All able men and women of the church are asked to come and donate a few hours to spruce up our church in preparation from our Annual Homecoming on October 26th. Alex Coure, Trustee Board Chair.

The John Wesley Church-Wide Retreat will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Robert Sweat, Jr. Fellowship Hall. The entire church membership is encouraged to attend. Following the Retreat, the Church Council will meet. All chairpersons and work-area representatives are expected to remain for the Church Council meeting.

John Wesleyans, the Finance Committee wants you to be a part of the Debt Reduction Fund Project. You are invited to become a “Pioneer of Grace” with a gift of $500 given over a one year period (only $42 per month). Or you may make a “Memorial Gift” with a one time gift of at least $1,000. Finally, you can join the “Champions of Hope” by making a gift of at least $5,000 given over a three year period. Thank You For Your Generosity! Our Church Kitchen Shower Was Held Saturday, December 15th.. The John Wesley Board of Trustees extends a sincere "Thank You" to everyone that contributed a gift or gave a monetary donation for our Church Kitchen Shower. We appreciate your generosity. Dr. Ethel Marie Cobbett moved to Winston-Salem, NC where she will begin her residency. Also, Dr. Carlenda M. Smith moved to Memphis, TN where she will begin her residency. We are grateful to God for all our graduates and the bright futures that God is holding before them. We will be highlighting news as we hear from all of our graduates.
